December 2006

The Exeter trial is only a few weekends away now. The X90 is ready, with new shock absorbers on the rear, sitting on new tyres on the steel rims we bought off of Ebay, and a few other tweaks to help the rear wheels grip in the mud and rain we're bound to get. Here is the link to the Motor Cycling Club of Gt Britain web site.

Happy Christmas to all my visitors over the past twelve months. 2006 was another successful year for me, culminating in winning the Sports Libre class in the Midland Speed championship for the second time in four years. There were several 1st's in class, a 3rd overall at Barkston Heath, 16th overall at Cadwell, and so on. There were no problems with the car at all, and the new Escort brake pedal box transformed the stopping power of the car. Next year is going to be pretty much motor sport free for us, as I have to relocate due to a promotion, and therefore we wont be in the Midlands any more. I may have to look at other championships in 2008, closer to home. We'll see. One door closes, and another opens. Something like that.

Anyway, all the best, and lets raise a glass to 2007. Cheers.

Bought a set of brand new Suzuki Jimny rims off of EBAY tonight for £4.99. Bargain. Just got to pick them up now.

I'm after a set of Suzuki X90 steel rims, in 5.5J x 15" for my fathers X90. We're competing in the Motorcycle Club of Gt Britain Exeter Trial in January, and the car is just in need of some steel rims. If you can help, please get in touch.
